Patricia A. Barnwell

Patricia A. Barnwell, age 83, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in her home. She was born on May 24, 1935 in Quincy, the daughter of John E. & Florence (Van Arx) Padavic. She married Bruce Barnwell on August 9, 1975. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2014. Patty worked as an administrative assistant and had most recently worked at Blessing Hospital. Also, along with her husband Bruce, Patty did army surplus and was an active member of the gun show community. She loved her cats and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Patty is survived by:
TWO STEP-CHILDREN: Kathy Saunders of Quincy and Jeffrey Scott Barnwell and his wife Lori of Derry, NH.
THREE STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Sarah Saunders, Doug Barnwell and Owen Barnwell.
TWO BROTHERS: Joe Padavic and Vic Padavic
THREE SISTERS-IN-LAW: Tommy Padavic, Donna Padavic and Melanie Padavic.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

In addition to her husband, Patty was also preceded in death by her parents, a step-son Douglas Barnwell, and siblings: John Padavic, William Padavic, Philip Padavic and Ray Padavic.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    So sorry to see this! I worked with Trish at Blessing and she always had a joke to share to make friends laugh. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

    My sympathies to Pat’s family. I remember how fun-loving and kind Pat was to me when I was growing up. She played Password almost every Saturday night with my mom and dad! She and my mom would ALWAYS beat Billy and my dad!

    Pat was my Notre Dame High School Classmate. She attended our Classmate Get-to-gethers the 2nd Thursday of each month until her health prohibited.

    We greatly missed her at our 65th Class Reunion September 15, 2018. Rest in Peace My Friend.
