Patricia A. Aschemann, age 79, of Quincy, died on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 6:55 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1936 at her home in Mendon, IL, a daughter of Orville C. & Inez (Egan) Homan. She married Orville E. Aschemann on January 31, 1959 at St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1987.

Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Mendon Unity High School. She worked in various positions over the years, including Motorola, Skyway Restaurant, Barrels & Bins, Tri-State Nutrition and most recently at TJ Maxx. Her greatest devotion, however, was to being a homemaker to her family.

Patricia was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball. She loved camping at Whispering Oak Camp Grounds, where she met many dear friends.

She is survived by her children, Mark Aschemann and his wife Joellen, Doug (Julie Flynn) Aschemann, Lori Mitchell and her husband John and Amy Kipping, all of Quincy; grandchildren, Jacob Aschemann, Chad Davis, Deanna & Craig Davis, Austin Aschemann, Andrea Aschemann, Katelyn (Adam) Morrow, Brandon Mitchell, William, Abigail & Alexander Kipping; three step-great grandchildren;
and a sister, Dorothy Lair and her husband C.W. of Quincy. Several in-laws, nieces & nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, Orville, and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Homan and Charles Homan and a son-in-law, Curtis Kipping.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 12:00 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic School, Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to the Donor’s Choice.
