Pamela A. Klauser

Pamela A. Klauser, age 69, of Quincy, IL, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on January 3, 1951 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Roger & Katherine (Volk) Shelts. She married Bob Klauser on September 5, 1970 in St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1998.

Pam retired from nursing and then later was a self-employed day-care provider for many years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Pam loved spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked to bake and to read, especially cookbooks and magazines. She also was an avid fan of the CUBS and the Bears. She also dearly loved her teddy bears.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Dr. Dan Evans and his staff for the wonderful care given to Pam over the years.

She is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Adam Klauser, Roger Klauser (Jennifer), Amy Green, and Jamie Courtney (Robert)
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Gavin, Logan, Eden, Madison, and Mason Klauser; Kaylee and Samuel Klauser; Rae-Lyn Green; Zane and Jade Courtney.
THREE SIBLINGS: Susan Maple (Paul), Steven Shelts (Cathy) and Phillip Shelts (Melinda).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Pam was also preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Zoey Klauser and a son in law: Dennis Green.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church from 11:00 AM until the time of the mass. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Medical Group Dialysis Center. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Adam, Rodger, Amy, and Jamie ….so sorry for you loss! I was shocked when Adam told me please accept my condolences! I remember Pats cookies were the bomb from when I was redoing my house and would stop by to ask Bob and Adam questions about stuff and borrow any tools he was willing to lend me! She was always so nice to me as was your whole family! Your all in my thoughts! If there is ANYTHING I can do please do not hesitate!

    The love pam gave touched all of us around her. What an amazing woman to bless this world and help raise not just her children but others. If we (Jamie and i)didn’t call my parents we were calling her. She will be missed. ❤️
