Oscar Schoonover

Oscar L. “Mr. Invincible” Schoonover, age 66, of 720 Sycamore, formerly of Ursa, IL, died on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 6:45 AM in the Home. He was born on October 18, 1941 in Ft. Worth, TX the son of George & Sara (Trailer) Schoonover. Mr. Schonover was a Jack of all Trades and worked in various places throughout his life.

He was of the Christian Faith. Oscar was instrumental in the Bridge the Gap to Health for people who could not afford medication. Oscar always thought of others before himself and would help anyone he could.

He is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Sarah Davidson and husband Shawn of Lima, IL; Heather Seljaas and her husband Toby of Salt Lake City, UT, and Janie Schaffer of Camdenton, MO.
NINE GRANDCHILDREN and 4 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
ONE SISTER: Barbara Rhein and her husband Paul of Texas.
Several nieces and nephews and other relatives also sruvive.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and two sons: Charles & Tommy Schoonover.

A Remembrance gathering for family & friends will be held at the home of his daughter Sarah at 223 South Mitchell in Lima, IL on Friday, February 15 beginning at 3:00 PM. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
