Norma S. “Susie” Chaplin

Norma S. “Susie” Chaplin of Quincy, died on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:05 a.m. in St. Vincent Home. Susie was born March 3, 1950 in Quincy, a daughter of Earl and Louise (Teufel) Chaplin.

She was a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and in 1969 she moved to California. Susie was a manicurist for many years in Beverly Hills.

She loved knitting and painting. Susie moved back to Quincy in March of 2013 to be closer to her family.

Survivors include: her sisters, Linda Anderson and her husband Jim of Quincy; Debbie Daniel of Burlington, IA; a niece who was like a sister, Terrie Mannel of Bartlett, IL; a brother-in-law Bob Garland of Quincy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Chaplin, three sisters, Wanda Garland, Helen Saiyan and Pat Peter; a nephew, Timothy Garland and brothers-in-law, Norm Peter and Kim Daniel.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Quincy Chapter or to the Quincy Humane Society.
