Norma Joyce ‘Joy’ Couch East, age 76, of 4404 Cedar Ridge Dr., Quincy, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1941 in Monroe City, MO, the daughter of Leslie and Virginia (Corder) Jarman. She married Ronnie Gene East on March 18, 2006. He survives.

Norma was a surgical technician and worked for Blessing Hospital for over 40 years. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed playing cards, scrapbooking, line dancing and fishing. Norma loved to travel and go on vacations. She also enjoyed cooking for her family gatherings. She was also an avid Cardinal fan.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
TWO SONS: Rodney Couch of Quincy and Jeffrey Couch also of Quincy
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Angela Kindhart; Mykel Couch and Autumn McCormick.
THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Laura, Victoria and Claire.
ONE SISTER: Edna Kennedy
ONE BROTHER: Richard Jarman and his companion Joanne.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Bethel Assembly of God Church. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or to the Bethel Assembly of God Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
