Norma Jean Arment

Norma Jean Arment, age 88, of the Bickford Cottages, died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Cottages. She was born on October 13, 1928 in Edina, MO the daughter of Louis & Catherine (Miller) Kriegshauser. She married Vernon Clarence Arment on May 8, 1949 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2007.

Jean was active in her church, Blessed Sacrament (the former St. Mary’s) serving as director of the funeral meals for several years. She volunteered as a mentor for Quincy Public Schools and loved to dance. She and Vern were active in square dancing. In later years she enjoyed line dancing at the Senior Center and water aerobics at Good Samaritan Home.

The family would like to thank Blessing Home Care and Blessing Hospital and a special thank you to the staff of Bickford Cottage for the love and care they provided her in her final years.

She is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Ralph (Shari) Arment of Bartonville, TX; Dave (Julie) Arment of Columbia, MO; Brenda Arment (Bob) Brunderman of Louisville, KY; and Rita Arment of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Travis (Teresa) Arment; Heather Arment; Arienne Arment; Christian Arment; Alexis (Jaime) Hecht; Addie (Jared) Atwood; Bernie (Megan) Satori; Bryan Satori; Annie Arment and Megan Arment.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Lauren, Ryan and Adam Arment; Oliver, Nora and Finn Hecht; Will and Miles Atwood; Lily Arment; and Alex, Andrew and Kate Satori.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Scott Arment, 3 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame.
