Norma J. Morcum

Norma J. Morcum, age 78, of the Sunset Home, died on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 11:23 AM in the Sunset Home. She was born on November 26, 1934 in St. Louis, MO,the daughter of Glen and Katherine (Inskip) Vaughn. She first married Bernard Curley, Sr. She later married Melvin Powell. She then later married Robert Morcum. Robert preceded her in death.

Norma was of the Christian Faith. Norma had been employed by Premier Laundry. She enjoyed doing laundry and taking care of her family. Norma was very fond of her nurses at Sunset Home and of her friends and roommates at Sunset, Flossie and Margaret.

She is survived by:
HER CHILDREN Edward Curley and his wife Donna, Glen Curley, Sr., Kathy Gravitt and her companion Otho Manley; Debbie Foltz, Tina Ray and her companion Rick Hoener; Troy P. Curley, Mary Hathaway and her husband David, , Myrtle Northrup and her companion Dan Hoener, Randy Morcum, and Larry Morcum.
43 Grandchildren, 69 Great Grandchildren & 9 Great-Great Grandchildren
HER SIBLINGS: Louise Powell, Carrie Miller, Sharon Irwin, Bobby Vaughn, Treva Nieders and her husband Paul, Floyd Vaughn and his wife Donna, Melvin Vaughn and his wife Bev, Charles Vaughn and his wife Lenora and Dovie Traw.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Joseph Morcum and Robby Hagerty; one grandson John Cain, one sister Betty Jackson and 3 brothers: James, Glen and Howard Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Family.

    TO ALL OF U THAT HAD NORMA IN YOUR LIFE WAS VERY BLESSED, I KNOW I WAS . SHE WAS A GREAT WOMAN .
