Norbert Veile

Norbert Veile, age 72, of 1932 Hugenberg Ln, Fowler died on Friday, March 10, 2017 in his home. He was born on January 1, 1945 in Quincy, the son of Andrew & Genevieve (Hummel) Veile. He was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame. He married Barbara Wiemelt on August 14, 1965 in St. John Catholic Church in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Veile was a plumbing contractor and member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25 in the Quincy area. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Mr. Veile enjoyed fishing, duck and deer hunting, working in his yard, and his restored ’55 Chevy.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Ellen Kemner and her husband Paul of Quincy; Kevin Veile of Fowler, and Brian Veile and his wife Donna also of Fowler.
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Lauren A. Kemner; Katelyn M. Fessenden and her husband Ryan; Olivia A. Kemner, Ella Veile and Jacob Veile.
ONE GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Gianna Kemner
TWO BROTHERS: Andrew Veile and Leroy Veile.
Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30 AM to noon at St. Francis Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice or to the Blessing Cancer Center. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

    Barb… So very sorry to her your husband has passed away…I can’t even begin to imagine whst you are going thru right now…I don’t believe I ever met your husband, but no matter…I’m sure he was a wonderful spouse.
