Nava W. Downs OBITUARY
Nava W. Downs age 102, of the North Adams Home, formerly of Liberty, IL died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 4:05 p.m. in the home. Nava was born January 18, 1912 in Drake, IL a daughter of Charles and Florence (Hicks) Crabtree.
Prior to retiring, Nava worked as an associate at Kresge Co. and later at Kmart.
Among Nava’s interests were gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Mark Cody of Bartow, FL; Weir (Becky) Cody of Liberty, Il; Mary Ellen (Jay) Langdale of Maggie Valley, NC; William Cody and Anthony Cody both of Bartow, FL.
Six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
Nava was preceded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Mary Anne and Ruth Cody.
Interment will take place at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
Arrangements are in the care of Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
I’m so sad to see that Grandma is gone. She was a fighter. May she rest in peace now that she is where she has wanted to be for a while. She is with Ruth and Mary Anne now. Hugs to all.
