Naomi Charlene “Charlie” Iler
Naomi Charlene “Charlie” Iler, age 63, died at 4 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home in Quincy, IL.
She was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Alton, IL, January 14, 1953, the daughter of Paul Erschel and Cathern (Albert) Matthews. She graduated from Carlinville High School, class of 1971 and attended Missouri Baptist College. She was a devoted mother and had a great love for music, dogs and John Wayne. She was greatly talented in arts and crafts. She worked in the accounting field for Sullivan College in Louisville, KY, Macoupin Co. 911 and several other companies in her lifetime.
Surviving are her companion, Earl Weaver of Quincy, IL; daughter, Heather Zenobia and husband Steven, of Burke, VA; son, Shane Iler and wife Stacie Thompson of Alexandria, VA. Two grandchildren, Rachel and Jacob Zenobia, mother, Cathern Matthews, sisters, Mabel (Mike) Harris of Corona, CA, Cathern (Michael) Best of Palmyra, IL and Paula Dugan of Alton, IL.
Preceding in death was her father Paul Erschel Matthews.
Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy, IL is in charge of cremation arrangements. No services are planned.
