Nancy Louise Huff

Nancy Louise Huff, age 67, of 2729 Chestnut, died on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1947 in Quincy the daughter of Theda and Harold Jansen. She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High. Nancy was the retired owner and operator of “The Place”. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Nancy was an avid reader, loved computer games, loved bonding with her daughter and family over shopping or meals. She loved to play pool in the past and just knew how to have fun and enjoy life. She loved her family and friends and took great interest in the lives of her friends and patrons. She was a mother to everyone and always took the time to offer her love, caring, and advice to all who needed her support. We were fortunate to learn of how she often mentored and inspired young women who like herself at one time were struggling to find out who they were and that they were all important and special. She has impacted the lives of so many people and her loss leaves a hole not in just the heart of her family but in the heart of friends as well.

Our family was small but love was large. As a sister she was always there for support and comfort and, as years went by she became a most important friend and confidant, someone who can never be replaced.
Most important she was an incredible mom and best friend to her daughter whose life will never be the same without her. Her wisdom and guidance, like she provided to other young women, will never be taken for granted and will always lite the way. There will be no better guardian angel for all of us then her.

She is survived by:
HER DAUGHTER: Amy Byrd and her husband Don of Quincy.
ONE GRANDDAUGHTER: Kristy Brigman and her husband Jarred
ONE SISTER: Carolyn Juette of Palmyra
TWO NEPHEWS: David Juette and his wife Brenda and Brian Juette and his wife Stacey
FOUR GREAT-NIECES & GREAT-NEPHEWS: Bowen, Jansen and Bronson Juette and Caleb Juette.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Meals Plus for Seniors, the Quincy Public Library or to the Quincy Humane Society.
