Nancy Jeanne “Nan” Grawe

Nancy Jeanne “Nan” Grawe, age 72, of Quincy, IL, died on Monday, October 1, 2018 in her home. She was born on November 26, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Joe and Mary (Serf) Weiler. Nan attended Mount Saint Scholastica College in Atchison, KS. She married Jay Grawe on July 13, 1968 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Hastings, NE. He survives.

Nan was a secretary for the Quincy Park District for many years, retiring in 2006. Nan was a long time member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was also involved in Quincy Cursillo and Marriage Encounter. She greatly enjoyed attending her grandkids activities.

In addition to her husband, Nan is also survived by:
THREE SONS: Jeff Grawe and his fiancé Laura Bliven of Ursa, IL; Tony Grawe and his wife Sarah of Mendon and Jim Grawe and his wife Alysia of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Jake along with his fiance Melissa; Nick, Leah, Jake, Lucy, Alexis along with her significant other Noah, Daxton, Jennifer, Avery and J.D.
GREAT GRANDCHILD: Jaxson
ONE BROTHER: Joe Weiler and his wife Jane
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Nan was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters: Mariann and Barb.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 in St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame or to St. Peter Catholic Church.

    Jay & family. I was so saddened to hear of Nan’s passing. You know how much she was loved by all, with that sweet personality & smile. You were one of the great examples of marriage encounter & I will miss her at our high school reunions. I hope many of our ND & CB grads met her at the gates of Heaven.
