Nancy Darlene Scheufele
Nancy Darlene Scheufele age 65, of 1813 Jane Lane Quincy, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7:55 p.m. in her home. Nancy was born August 18, 1945 in Rock Springs, WY, a daughter of Robert A. and Eva H. (Rupert) DeWeese. Nancy first married Roy Lee Ellis and together they had her five children. She later married Ralph Scheufele and he preceded her in death.
Before her retirement, Nancy worked for more than 15 years as a CNA at the Illinois Veteran’s Home. Prior to that she was a cook at Elders Restaurant for many years.
Nancy was of the Baptist faith. She loved to cook and fix big meals for her family, which they all enjoyed. Her passion was her work at the Veteran’s Home, she loved taking care of people and would always work as long as necessary to help out.
Survivors include her mother, Eva and her husband Frank Wellman, Sr. who Nancy always considered “Dad” of Quincy; her children, Christine Clayton (J.R.) of Ursa, IL: Bob Ellis of Sutter, IL; Michelle Ellis; Ray Ellis. Jr. (Jayme) and Vickie Ellis (Scott) all of Quincy;
Brothers and Sister, Richard L. DeWeese and his wife Jan of Liberty; Jean Ann Lantz (William) of Richfield, IL; Frank E. Wellman, Jr. (Beverly) of Burton, IL;
Grandchildren; Jessica Mowen, Gregory Clayton, Jr.; Torie, Richard and Marissa Ellis; Dustin, Charlize, Hailey and Lillie Ellis; Ryan, Andrew and Alac Gilday;
Four great grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, her, husbands, a daughter-in-law, Lisa Ellis and a grand daughter, Natasha Ellis.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Pastor Tim Miller. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Cancer Center.

Sorry to read about Nancy, I didn’t know, I would of came to the service. My condolences go out to the entire family.
We are so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. Missed her for our Black Friday shopping the last couple of years with Aunt Norma and Randy. She is in a place now where there will be no more pain.

Nicest person you could meet, would do anything for you, and give you anything that you needed. Not able to say enough kinds words about her for the kindness that she has been to other’s. Working with her at IVH is my greatest memory with Nancy, she was very kind and dear to the resident. She will be missed by all!!
