Muriel D. Rehwaldt, age 78, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Springfield, IL, died on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 3:08 AM in Blessing Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1929 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Isadore & Ann (Margolis) Callner. She married Theodore Rehwaldt on June 23, 1956 in the Onshemett Synagogue of Chicago.

In addition to her husband, Muriel is survived by:

THREE CHILDREN: Linda Mulhall of St. Louis, MO; Carol Doubek and her husband Dr. William of Oshkosh, WI; and Phillip Rehwaldt of Champaign, IL;

FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Amy Mulhall; Brian Mulhall; Julia Mulhall; Andrew Doubek and Michael Doubek;

1 BROTHER: Phillip Callner and his wife Miriam, along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents and a son Gregory Rehwaldt.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Burial will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 10:30 in the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
