Mrs. Juanita Ruth (Poling) Allen, of Quincy, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 81.
Juanita was the beloved daughter and only child born to parents Ivan and Elizabeth (Baker) Poling of Loraine, IL on October 11, 1935. Following high school, she moved to Quincy to complete training and work as a medical and surgical assistant. In 1960, she met her husband John R. Allen. They married in Quincy and started their family in 1964 with the birth of their first child.
Juanita is survived by her husband John; daughters, Elizabeth Upper and Katherine McCabe (Brian); her son, Steven (Nicole), and three grandchildren, Ivan Allen (13), Hana Allen (9), and Jackson McCabe (9).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Elizabeth Poling, in-laws, Russell and Blanche Allen, and oldest son, Richard Allen.
The family will be honoring her life privately, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.
