Miranda J. Wilson

Miranda J. Wilson, age 31, of 407 N. Ridgeline, Lima, died on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in her home. She was born on October 14, 1982 in Quincy the daughter of Matthew and Jodell (Sill) Stephens. Miranda was a 2001 graduate of Unity High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Culver-Stockton College/Blessing Riemann College of Nursing. Miranda was an active member of The Crossing at the Lima, IL Campus.

Miranda was a loving wife and mother to her three children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially fishing with her children. She liked reading, and enjoyed her clients as a home health nurse.

In addition to her husband, Tim, she is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Hunter Timothy Wilson, Evan Matthew Wilson and Annette Jodell Wilson.
HER FATHER: Matthew Stephens and his wife Cathy
HER MOTHER: Jodell Speckhart and her husband Mark
MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS: Gerald and Donna Sill and Warren and Shirley Speckhart
SIBLINGS: Natalie Zimmerman and her husband Luke, Isaac Speckhart and his wife Becky; Ben Speckhart; Anna Martin and her husabnd Seth; Melissa DeVerger and her husband Jason and Edward Brown and his wife Vicky.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Miranda was preceded in death by: Her paternal grandparents: Robert and Vivian Stephens and Wilma Trapini and also a sister-in-law: Tammy L. Reinold.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at The Crossing in Lima, IL by Rev. Walt Wilcoxson. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy. Memorials may be made to Miranda’s Children’s Education Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

    I remember many years ago when Tim and Miranda were getting married and I was one of the candle lighters. My flame went out and I remember Miranda just smiling.

    I worked with her at the nursing home in Golden. She was a wonderful lady to work with. I am so sorry for your loss.
