Minnie Schlinkmann
Minnie Lee Schlinkmann, age 90, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the Sunset Home. She was born on February 24, 1929 in Philadelphia, Missouri the daughter of Elva Lee Harsell. She married John Schlinkmann on March 18, 1954. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Minnie worked at Gardner Denver for many years. She later worked at The Labor News and then at the Blessing Hospital Tea Room. She was a graduate of the Gem City Business College.
Minnie was the 1982 Quincy Exchange Club Golden Deeds Award Winner. In earlier years she was very active with the Berrian School PTA.
Minnie is survived by:
TWO SONS: Michael Schlinkmann and his wife Chris Wiewel of Quincy and John Schlinkman also of Quincy.
SON-IN-LAW: Jim Williamson of Georgia
ONE GRANDSON: Stephen Schlinkmann
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Leslie Williamson.
There will be no formal services. A private burial at Greenmount Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mike and JR, we are so sorry to hear of the passing of Minnie. She was a great lady and always smiling. Our prayers are with you at this time.
