Mildred Gene McCray was born on June 4, 1953 to Mildred Connors and Isreal Connors in Como, Mississippi. She was later relocated to Chicago, Illinois.

Mildred McCray was married to John McCray and later divorced. Mildred then moved to Maywood and from Maywood, IL to Quincy, IL where she departed this earth on July 6th at Blessing Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Thompson, J.B. Thompson, Isreal Connors and her brother, Isreal Connors, Jr.

Mildred accepted Christ at an early age.

She leaves to mourn, two children Latwaon McCray (Lorie McCray) and Latrice Nicole Hill along with eleven grandchildren, six sisters and five brothers: Ruby Johnson (Barney Blackmon), Larry Thompson, Leroy Thompson (Iris Thompson), Hattie Thompson, James Thompson, Nellie Thompson (Adam McKenzie), Betty Thompson, Madonna Thompson, Roylee Thompson, Jennifer Adams, Tyrone Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
