Mildred Maxine Owen, age 86, of the North Adams Home, formerly of Liberty, IL, died on Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Home. She was born on September 6, 1925 in LaBelle, MO the daughter of Porter H. & Eula (Staggs) McCracken. She was a graduate of LaBelle High School. She married David L. Owen on August 15, 1943 in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2000. Mrs. Owen sold produce for the Farmers Market in Quincy for many years. She also had worked in the printing Department at Gardner Denver Co, retiring after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Liberty Christian Church. Maxine was also a lifelong member of the Liberty American Legion Auxiliary Post 640.

She is survived by:
SIX CHILDREN: David Roy Owen and his wife Gloria of Liberty; Jerry Owen and his wife Sharon of Smithton, MO; Mackie Owen and his wife Connie of Liberty; Tony Owen and his wife Tina of Liberty; Kim Emery and her husband Rick of Quincy and Kathy Muder and her husband Bill also of Quincy.
20 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren
A BROTHER: Larry McCracken and
A SISTER-IN-LAW: Mary McCracken
Along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Nina Kay Owen and a brother Samuel McCracken.

A Memorial graveside will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the LaBelle Cemetery in LaBelle, MO. There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to the Memorial graveside. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
