OBITUARY ON MICKEY “MICK” KAISER

Mickey “Mick” Kaiser, age 73, of 425 North 20th, died on Thursday, February 14, 2008 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1934 in Quincy, the son of Gerald F. & Elsie E. (Hammann) Kaiser. He married Barbara Bunte on June 18, 1966 in St. Francis Catholic Church. She survives. Mr. Kaiser worked at several local companies. He worked for Gem City News Agency, Merchants Wholesale, Gem City Distributors, and Consumer Sales. His favorite occupation of all was the last 12 years he spent with the Rinella Company. Mick was of the Catholic faith having been baptized the day after Thanksgiving 2007. He served in the United States Army. Due to the premature death of his parents, Mick returned to Quincy to support and raise his younger brother, Jim. Mick greatly enjoyed being a basketball referee for high school basketball throughout the state. Mick was active throughout the community and volunteered in many organizations and events. Mick was very charitable with his time and energy to any and all.

In addition to his wife Barb, Mick is also survived by:
ONE BROTHER: Jim Kaiser and his wife Peggy of Quincy;
ONE SISTER-IN-LAW: Carol Clow and her husband Earl of Quincy;
TWO BROTHERS-IN-LAW: Chuck Bunte of Quincy and Kenny Bunte and his wife Susan of Moline, IL;
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Amy Kaiser, Cindy Archer and her husband Loy, Mike Clow and is wife Pam, Melissa Elmore and her husband Jay, Marty Sellers and her husband Dave, Barb Noble, Bryan Clow and his wife Kristin, Jennifer Perez and her husband Bill, Stacey Bunte, Kelly Holden and her husband Chris, Susan Herrera and her husband Jorge, and Kara Klavitter and her husband David.
Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mick was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Marge Purdy and her husband John.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Prayer service at 6:00. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center, the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to the Judy Alderson Foundation (Cancer).
