Michael Robert Wienhoff, age 67, of Country View Nursing Home, Macomb, IL, formerly of Quincy, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 6:05 a.m. in McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. He was born April 25, 1945 in Quincy, a son of Bert & Phyllis (Argust) Wienhoff. He married Betty Elizabeth Ann Rost on April 16, 1988 in Quincy. She survives.

Michael graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Quincy with the class of 1964. He formerly worked at Gardner Denver and St. Mary’s Hospital.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He loved tending his garden, watching sports and singing in the church choir.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his father, Bert Wienhoff & wife Betty of Quincy; his mother, Phyllis Lymenstull of Quincy; a brother, Jerry (Lynn) Wienhoff of Pensacola, FL; a half-brother, Roger Lymenstull of Chicago; a step-daughter, Janet Elizabeth Jorgensen and her husband David of Memphis, TN; step-brothers and step-sisters, Hank Dutt, Tom Lymenstull, Margot Mills and Sue Lymenstull and two step-grandchildren, Elizabeth & Jacob Jorgensen. Several cousins, nieces & nephews also survive.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Blessed Sacrament Church. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
