Michael J. Willing, age 63, of Camp Point, IL, died on Monday, March 7, 2011 in the VA Hospital in Des Moines, IA. He was born on March 5, 1948 in Quincy, IL the son of Marvin & Catherine (Dunker) Willing. He married Barb Emery on October 17, 1970 in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Willing worked for Quincy Soybean/ADM for 32 years. He later worked at Furrows. Mr. Willing served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He greatly enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
ONE SON: Greg Willing and his wife Brandi of Springfield
One grandson who will be born in April.
TWO SISTERS: Peggy Gower and her husband Jerry, and Kathy Willing
SISTER-IN-LAW: Norma McKenzie
BROTHERS-IN-LAW: George Richard Emery and his wife Norma Jean and Dewey Walker.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, 2 sisters-in-law: Grace Walker and Hazel McColez along with her husband Terrell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Wanda Seydel. Interment in the Mendon Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bear Creek American Legion Post #823. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society, the Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
