Michael A. Jansen, age72, of 301 North 8th, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the Sunset Home. He was born on July 10, 1945 in Quincy the son of Alvin and Mary (Mock) Jansen. He married Bonnie Hale on August 14, 1965. Mike was an employee at Huck Fixture Co. for many years until his retirement. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Mike loved to play cards and spend his time with his family and friends. Mike was also the former owner of the Kix Club in Quincy.

In addition to Bonnie, he is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Kelly Jansen and his wife Gail of Quincy, IL; Kurt Jansen and his wife Lisa of Olathe, KS; and Kim Johnson and her husband Deron of Quincy, IL
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Darin Jansen and his wife Melissa; Austin Jansen; Jacob Jansen; Devon Jansen; and Preston Kamradt.
TWO STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Whitney Stanford and her husband Shane and Angela Johnson
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Brynlee, Bristyn, Avery, and Ivy Jansen.
TWO STEP-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Josephine Stanford and James Stanford
BROTHERS: Dave Jansen and Stanley Jansen
SISTER: Marcia Roulet and her husband Rick
In addition to his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by a daughter Melissa Jansen in infancy; and three sisters: Joyce Alford, Georgeann Huber and Mary Maxine Vonderheide.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. A Private Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 PM until the time of the services at 7:00. Memorials may be made to Dialysis Patient Citizen Education Center or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
