Melina Haze Torres

Melina Haze Torres age 7, of Quincy died on Friday, May 20, 2016 in Barry, IL. Melina was born on April 6, 2009 in Quincy, a daughter of Alex and Karen L. (Roberts) Torres, both of Quincy.

Melina was in the first grade at Liberty Grade School.

Melina was always writing special notes, coloring and doing arts and crafts. She loved playing with her older sisters, and helping her mom with housework.

In addition to her parents, survivors include Melina’s two sisters, Genesis and Aiyana Torres. Her maternal grandmother, Julie Roberts-Cole of Barry and her paternal grandmother Luz Torres of Brooklyn, NY; many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home, by Rev. Paul Kinney. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to an Education Fund for Genesis & Aiyana Torres.

    I’ve been missing her so much I read the comments when they just make me so sad I can’t believe I just lost I love the one that always love but barely met she was my cousin I was with her almost her whole life
