Gary, Kirk, Sherry, & the entire Hess Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I only met her a couple of times, Mrs. Hess made a mark on my heart. She was one fine lady. I enjoyed reading her obituary. I told my girl they could use the part about the storytelling in my obituary.
It has been a very long haul for all of you and I know you will be lost for awhile. How well I remember Gary bringing Maureen to an Exchange Club event over 20 years ago in a wheel chair and how beautiful she looked. From the obituary, the beauty was inside as well as outside. May God give you strength, help you to focus on the wonderful gift of her life that he shared with you and give you peace and comfort in knowing she suffers no more.

I have had the pleasure of teaching Shannon Hess Slee as a Wuincy High student and also having her as a colleague. I now witness how she is the most wonderful mother to some amazing children. I ha e no doubt that this tremendous love of God and family is a result of learning from her parents and grandparents. What a wonderful woman she must have been!
