Matthew W. Surgeon
Matthew W. Surgeon, age 45, of 513 Sycamore, died on Monday, March 3, 2014 at12:45 Am in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1968 in Quincy, the son of John & Adah (Harrison) Surgeon.
Mr. Surgeon loved going camping and being outdoors. He loved to spend time with his family, his girlfriend Ginger Sermon and her family. Matthew enjoyed making everyone around him laugh.
Survivors include:
HIS SIBLINGS: George Surgeon of Quincy, Scott Reno and his girlfriend Teri Blumhost, of Alvarado, TX and Esther Robin Green and her husband Eric of Hannibal, MO.
FOUR CHILDREN: Shannen Cary and her husband Daniel of Carthage, April Miller and her husband Shawn of Dexter, MO; Matthew Surgeon, Jr of Hannibal, MO; and Kristen Surgeon of Hannibal, MO.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Alexia and Caleb Surgeon; FairyAnn Surgeon and Maverick Young.
THREE NIECES: Tami Brown, Crystal Robertson-Hardy, and Audreana Platt;
TWO NEPHEWS: Jacob Brown and Malachi Green.
TWO GREAT-NIECES: Lilyanne Rudicil and Tamira Durking.
HIS FATHER: John Surgeon and his wife Barbara and many counins.
Mr. Surgeon was preceded in death by a daughter, his mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Family Wishes in the care of George Surgeon.
Matt was a great guy, he will be missed. My condolences to his family.
