Mary Muder

Mary Margaret Muder, age 85, of Liberty, Illinois died on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1928 in Sullivan County, MO the daughter of Charles & Esther (LaFaver) Walker. Mary was a graduate of Green City High School and the Blessing Rieman College of Nursing. She married Howard Muder on November 4, 1950 in Zion Lutheran Church in Liberty. He survives. Mrs. Muder was a RN in the Blessing Hospital Maternity Ward for 27 years, retiring in 1992. Mary was a long time and active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Liberty. She was a Sunday School teacher and was part of the Women’s ELCA. She was also a member of the Blessing 10 Year Plus Club. Mary was an avid reader. She also enjoyed puzzles and her flower garden. She considered her richest blessing in life her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by: FIVE CHILDREN: Kent Muder and his wife Becky of Twin Falls, ID; Roseann Locke and her husband Michael of Liberty, William Muder and his wife Kathy of Quincy; James Muder and his wife Melanie of Liberty, and Aaron Muder of Liberty.
THIRTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Eric Muder; Amy Roberts, Michelle Tournear and her husband Daniel; Adam Locke; Shawn Muder and his wife Heather; Kasey Brockunier and her husband Travis; Nathan Muder and his wife Jera; Mandy Milhauser and her husband Michael; Tracy Goings; Christopher Muder; Melissa Muder; Nikki Skirvin and her husband Andy and Austin Muder.
21 Great Grandchildren
FOUR BROTHERS: Robert Walker and his wife Marie; Eugene Walker; Lynn Walker and his wife Clarice; Jerald Walker and his wife Bonnie.
THREE SISTERS: Marjorie Keith and her husband James; Esta Fulghum and her husband Robert; and Ruby Heppe and her husband George.
SISTER-IN-LAW: Norma Jean Walker
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren: David and Beth Muder, a great-grandchild: Ty Muder, a brother: Wayne Walker and a sister in law: Edna Mae Walker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:30 in the Zion Lutheran Church of Liberty, IL. Interment in Xander Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
