Mary Louise (Nobis) Toney
Mary Louise (Nobis)Toney, age 83, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was born on February 13, 1938 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Leaten and Helen (McGartland) Nobis. She married John Toney on February 4, 1966 in San Francisco, CA. He survives. Mary was a LPN working in the healthcare field. Along with her husband, she later owned and operated Toney Residential Care Facilities. Mary was a dedicated member of the Catholic Faith. Family and her friends were the most important things in Mary’s life. A goal later in life was to return to Quincy, which she recently achieved.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Kim Zanger Doellman (Gary) of Quincy; Tim Zanger (Deanna) also of Quincy and Diana Toney Curtis (Bret) of Lincoln, CA.
GRANDCHILDREN: Stacey Allen, Travis Zanger (Carla), Nicole Haynes (Aaron), Justin Zanger, Christina Emery (Ryan), Scott Doellman (Danielle), Brian Doellman (Andrea), Jason Zanger (Samantha), Natalie Zanger, Melissa Jansen (Darin), Maryann Bramhall (Andrew), Kayla Clark, Samuel Curtis and Jonathan Toney.
Numerous great grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Jim Zanger and John Toney and
6 siblings: Leaten Nobis, Jr., Richard Nobis, Chuck Nobis, Mike Nobis, Pat Nobis and Judy Meza.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:30 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church.
You are missed so much already Aunt Mary as you definitely left a SPARKLE of your love, and sass on everyone & everywhere you went I enjoyed my visit to Cali so much !!! Fly high beautiful Angel

Condolences. I remember Mrs. Toney from youth sports as a kid and her care homes when I worked for the City. What a wonderful woman.
