Mary Lou Graff

Mary Lou Graff, age 85, of The Good Samaritan Home, formerly of Fowler, died on December 12, 2013 in the home. Mary was born on September 24, 1928 in Quincy a daughter of Horace “Jack” and Rowena (Stephens) Hipkins. She married Jerry Graff on September 22, 1946 in the Liberty Christian Church. He survives.

Mary graduated from Liberty High School. She worked as a cook for many years at the Fowler Grade School until its closing. She then worked as a cook at Baldwin School until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Melrose Chapel Church. She baked wedding and birthday cakes. She enjoyed camping, gardening, their cat Snowball, and life to it’s fullest.

THREE NEPHEWS: Roger Thompson and his wife Sandy of Quincy; Craig Bridgeman and his wife Wanda of South Carolina; Brent Bridgeman and his wife Erin of Georgia.
TWO NIECES: Janet Lease and her husband Terry of Jacksonville; and Amy Bridgeman of South Carolina.
FOUR GREAT NEPHEWS: Greg Thompson and his wife Theresa of Quincy; Mark Thompson and his wife Lisa of Ursa; Todd Lease and his wife Kathy of Bloomington, IN; Curt Lease and his wife Denise of Naperville
THREE GREAT NIECES: Kelly Thompson of Fowler; Robin Lentz and her husband Carl of Quincy; Christine Honnigford and her husband Scott of Mahomet.
ONE BROTHER-IN-LAW: Glen Bridgeman of Quincy.
FOUR GREAT-GREAT NIECES and TWELVE GREAT-GREAT NEPHEWS also survive.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Donna Bridgeman, and a great-great nephew Dakota Cantrell.

Funeral services will he held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Pastor Ron George. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Melrose Chapel.
