Mary Lee Brinkman

Mary Lee Brinkman, age 79, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2210 Washington and 2206 College died on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Blessing Hospital. Mary Lee was born October 17, 1932 in Quincy, a daughter of Raymond Joseph and Edith (Stevens) Brinkman.

Mary Lee was a graduate of St. Francis Solanus Grade School and a 1950 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She began working as a telephone operator in 1949 at Illinois Bell Telephone and retired from AT&T in 1983.

She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Parish and she enjoyed sewing and reading.

Survivors include her sisters, Pat Six and her husband Wayne of Hampton, NY;
Sister Cynthia Brinkman S.S.N.D. of Ellington, MO; Kathy Wilper and her husband Gerald of Monroe City, MO and Barbara Meyer and her husband John of Quincy.

Nieces and nephews, Stephen (Gail) Six of Northford, CT; Cynthia (Andrew) Montanaro of Blandford, MA; Michael (Julia) Six of Bath, PA; Russell (Terri) Meyer of Quincy; Raymond (Tina) Meyer of Palmyra, MO; Dawn (William) Ochterbeck and Nichole Dyer all of Quincy;
Eric Wilper of Kansas City, MO; Neal (Sherry) Wilper of Columbia, MO and Ryan Wilper of Monroe City, MO. Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church by the Rev. Donald Blaeser, O.F.M. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church or to the Eber Gardens Wing at Good Samaritan Home.
