Mary Ellen Runser, age 85, of Liberty, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the St. Vincent Home. She was born on June 20, 1926 in Payson, IL the daugher of Joseph & Laura (Schmidt) Kaltenbach. She married Louis Runser on September 14, 1946 in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty. He survives. Mrs. Runser was a beloved mother, grandmother and homemaker.

In addition to her husband she is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Leo Runser (Judy) of Macomb, IL; Carol Barratt (Conrad) of Colorado Springs, CO, Eugene Runser of Liberty, IL; Dale Runser of Kingston, IL
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Kelly Runser, John Runser, and Corwin Barratt (Heather)
TWO SISTERS: Evelyn Genenbacher (Clarence) and Rita Steinkamp
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by parents, a son Robert Runser and a sister: Margaret Ebbing.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at St. Anthony Catholic Church from 9:30 until the time of the services at 10:30. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Home or Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
