Mary E. Cook, age 89, of Quincy, died on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the Quincy Healthcare & Senior Living Center. She was born on March 12, 1933 in Quincy the daughter of Fred & Marie (Hagerbaumer) Murry. She married Earl William Cook on March 14, 1951. He preceded her in death.

Mary worked at Motorola for many years. After there, she worked in dietary at Blessing Hospital for 17 years. Then she later worked as a hostess for Comfort and Fairfield Inn.

Mary was an avid bowler and a Cardinal Baseball fan. Her favorite artist was Billy Crash Craddock. She loved crafts and the occasional trip to the casino.

She is survived by:
CHILDREN: Catherine ‘Cookie’ Jones of Kankakee, IL; Philip Cook (Lisa) of Quincy and Timothy J. Cook also of Quincy.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandchild and all of her siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Blessing Hospital Foundation for Hospice
