    Dear Tim and Family,
Mary Alice has been a special friend for more than twenty-five years. We were brought together by the tragic loss of Lieutenant Mike Thompson while we were assigned together in Pensacola, Florida. I immediately felt welcome, loved, and at home with your family when Mike was laid to rest there in Quincy. What a blessing Mary Alice and you have been for us over the years. We are especially thankful for your visits to Pensacola, not only to honor and remember Mike, but also to be a part of our Change of Command festivities. The regular communications over the years have been a joy with the wonder of a special relationship. We will continue that closeness through continued correspondence along with our memories and prayers.
With love, Russ and Nadine Captain, USN (Retired)
