Mary Alice Miles, age 80, of 2140 Cedar St., Quincy, died on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 8:58 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on August 4, 1933 in Quincy, a daughter of Ralph & Alice Grace (Price) Willer. She married Carrol E. Miles on May 3, 1952 in St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2002.

Mary Alice attended St. Francis Grade School and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School.

She was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Mary Alice enjoyed making a home for her family, growing flowers and smelling the roses. She was an avid fan of the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by five sons, Robert Miles and his wife Judy of Fowler, IL, Randy Miles and his wife Jean of LaGrange, MO, Rodney Miles, Rick Miles and his wife Linda and Jeff Miles and his wife Vickie, all of Quincy; siblings Pat Graves, Theodore Willer and his wife Pat and Charlotte Siebers and her husband Robert, all of Quincy; grandchildren, Andrea, Robby, John Carl, Zachary, Brandon, Dominic, Chase, Jennifer & Jeff Jr.
Many great grandchildren and nieces & nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, Carrol and her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Elwood “Woody” Willer and Ralph Willer, Jr. and a sister Marcia Buckner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home Activities Fund.
