Mary A. Wellman, age 91, of Quincy, died on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1930 in Quincy, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Woerman) Zimmerman. She married Richard Wellman on January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2018.

Mary was a member of Salem Evangelical Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping, travel and cruises. She liked to attend all of her grandchildren’s many activities. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed bowling.

Mary is also survived by:
THREE DAUGHTERS: Kathy (Gary) Haden; Chris McLaughlin; and Cindy (Steve) Peters all of Quincy.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Stacy Disselhorst; Scott (Kara) Haden; Nicole (Andrew) Kroner; Kelly (Robert Clark) McLaughlin; Clayton (Nancy) McLaughlin; Leigh (Rachel Tejada) McLaughlin and Conner (Tiffany) McLaughlin; Robyn (Adam) Tholen; Adam (Kristin) Peters; and Carrie (Jared) Phillips.
21 Great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Nancy Bliven and a brother Robert Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Due to Covid concerns, the family respectfully asks that everyone wear a face mask. Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight.
