Martin Alex Birchfield
Martin Alex Birchfield, age 49, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in his home. He was born on October 8, 1966 in Quincy, a son of William E. & Mary L. (Doellman) Birchfield. He married Lisa A. Newman on July 25, 1992. She survives.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Martin was a 1984 graduate of Quincy High School. He formerly worked at Manchester Tank. He was an avid Cubs and Vikings fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and son.

HIS PARENTS, William & Mary Birchfield of Quincy;
ONE SON, Mason Alex Birchfield, still at home;
ONE DAUGHTER, Megan White and her husband James Wesley of Bishop, GA;
TWO GRANDSONS, Gabriel & Silas White
A BROTHER, Thomas Birchfield
THREE SISTERS, Janice (David) McArthur of Hoffman Estates, IL, Amy Willer and Christina (Joshua) Brueck, all of Quincy;
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother John Anthony Birchfield, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his son, Mason.
