Martha ‘Jerri” Alexander

Martha Geraldine ‘Jerri’ Sanders Alexander, age 71, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. She was born on June 3, 1952 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Darrell and Louise (West) Sanders. Jerri married Bill Gibson on January 23, 1971. Their three children are: Tammie Steele, Tim Gibson and Travis Gibson.
3 grandchildren and siblings: Mary Clark, Debbie Lewis, Pam Goodwin and Jim Sanders.

Jerri married Ray Alexander on April 29, 2000 in Liberty, IL. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2007. Jerri was employed at Hy-Vee for over 20 years. Jerri enjoyed fishing gardening and painting.

Jerri was preceded in death by her parents and an older sister.

Private family services are planned. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

      I love you aunt Jerri. We have had a lot of laughs. I remember when u watched me many years ago. I was probably 10 years old . It was just you and I that day. It was a beautiful sunny day. You and I went to lay in the sun. You turned on 99Q radio station which now is y101. And we fell asleep . My mom came there to get me after work and woke us up. We was burned up. Red lobsters didn’t have shit on us.lol. love u aunt Jeri until we meet again. RIP.. xoxo

    I was a close friend to Jeri. She held her wedding in my gazebo. I will miss my friend. Love and prayers to her family.
