Mark O. McGinley

Mark O. McGinley, age 61, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1956 in Quincy, the son of Lowell & Harriette (Logan) McGinley. He married Patricia Knox Jobe on March 8, 2002. She survives. Mark worked in sales in the construction and building industries. He served in the United States Army.

Mark loved and was dedicated to his family. Mark was an avid car enthusiast and loved his black Mustang Convertible. He enjoyed his landscaping, yardwork and grilling out. He also loved his faithful canine companion “Lucy”.

In addition to his wife Patty, he is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Beau McGinley of Quincy and Paige McGinley-Brady and her significant other Josh Bunch also of Quincy;
TWO STEP-CHILDREN: Aimee White and her husband Brian of San Diego, CA and Kendra Jobe of Palmyra, MO;
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Cristynna McGinley; Rayleigh McGinley; Wyatt Brady and Ryder Bunch;
ONE BROTHER: Mike McGinley and his wife Linda;
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Diane Glosmeyer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

    We didn’t Know Mark very well but from everyone that did we hear nothing but praises and how wonderful of a person he was. So sorry for your loss Patti. We are thinking of you and send our deepest sympathy.

    Mere words cannot express my sadness at this news. Mark was one of the nicest, most genuine people I have had the pleasure of knowing. He will be missed… My heartfelt prayers and Patty and the family.

    So sad, prayers to the family. I went to school with Mark. He worked with my brothers in construction. I last spoke with Mark just before accident on Weds, came through my line at Walgreens, seemed like something wasn’t right with him. Condolences.
