Mark Joseph “Tubby” Lenz
Mark Joseph “Tubby” Lenz age 63, of Timber Point Healthcare Center, Camp Point, IL formerly of Liberty, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 6:10 a.m. in the Center. He was born May 30, 1954 in Quincy, a son of Eugene and Antonine (Huber) Lenz. He married Deb Bradley on April 27, 1974 and she survives.
Tubby had formerly worked at Electric Wheel in Quincy, he worked for a Body Shop in Beverly and at Vaughn-Flesner. He was of the Catholic faith and had attended St. Brigid Catholic Church. Tubby loved the outdoors, especially going hunting, fishing, and looking for arrowheads.
Survivors include his three children, Michael Lenz and his wife Kim; Shanna Tipton and her husband Gerald all of Liberty; and Joseph Lenz and his wife Tara of Quincy. Grandchildren: Autumn Lenz; Alexis Shaffer; Layne Tipton; Tanner and Maiah Lenz; Hope and Eden Lenz; Cody Tipton and Payton Flora.
Brothers and Sister: Nancy Peters and her husband Tony; John Lenz; Leo Lenz; Jim Lenz and his wife Chris; Paul Lenz and his wife Sonya. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Larry and Lloyd Lenz, and his father-in-law Roy Bradley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at River of Life 2901 Payson Rd. Quincy, IL on Saturday December the 30th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 at River of Life. Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
