MARJORIE F. ZINN OBITUARY

Marjorie F. Zinn, age 79, of Paloma, Illinois, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in her home. She was born on August 27, 1929 in Meyer, Illinois. She was a daughter of Llewellyn Barnes & Emma Arnold and step-father Ross Innes. She married Alvin L. Zinn on March 22, 1985 in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1988.

Until recently Marjorie was a cook at the Paloma Diner for nearly 30 years. It was a job she loved and she was great at it.

Survivors include:
TWO BROTHERS: Allen Barnes and his wife Norma, & Charles Barnes and his wife Lisa both of Quincy;
FOUR SISTERS: Wanda Sparrow of Liberty, Joe Ann Brown of Coatsburg, Bonnie Mathes and her husband Jim of Quincy, & Nancy Hultz and her husband Michael of Quincy;
Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Gary Barnes, and nephews Ricky Barnes & Wayne Friday.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
