Marjorie E. Frese
Marjorie E. Frese, age 84, of the North Adams Home, formerly of 3011 N. 18th ST., died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:35 PM in the Home. She was born on June 16, 1923 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Frank & Irma (Triebel) Druffel. She married Charles “Barney” Frese on May 24, 1948 in Keshena, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2001. Mrs. Frese was a homemaker. In her earlier years she was a service representative for Illinois Bell Telepnone Co., and also worked at Stroot Hardware Co.
Mrs. Frese was a graduate of St. Francis School and Notre Dame High School. She was a long time member of St. John Catholic Church. Marjorie won the Quincy City Tennis Championship in 1940. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be truly missed, but always in our hearts.
She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Barb Scheufele and her husband Jim of Rochester, IL; Sue Christ and her husband Don of Quincy and Greg Frese and his wife Jody also of Quincy
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Kevin Scheufele, Darren Scheufele, Brian Christ, Jennifer Tyler and her husband Mike, Eric Frese and his wife Tracy and Tyler Frese and his wife Molly.
GREAT GRANDSONS: Dylan Tyler and another due in May.
A SISTER: Dorothy Schlipman.
Many nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents and a brother, Charles Druffel.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 with a Parish Prayer service at 4:30 PM. Memorials may be to Alzheimer’s research or to the North Adams Home.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I know how much she will be missed. Wish I could be there with you to help your through this difficult time but unfortunately since I just heard don’t think we will be able to make it to town. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Cherish all the good memories, I know that helps. I know I will always remember your Mother, she was always so good to us kids when we all were at your house growing up together. She always had a smile and a kind word.
