Marilyn A. Stowell

Marilyn A. Stowell, age 79, of Quincy, IL, died on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on December 2, 1942 in Quincy, the daughter of Glen and Ida (Blaesing) Herrington. She married William R. Stowell on February 27, 1971. He survives. Marilyn was a medical transcriptionist for Quincy Medical Group and retired in 2014.

Mrs. Stowell was of the Catholic Faith. She was a member of the Legal Secretary’s Association. She was also an avid reader and a history buff.

In addition to her husband, Marilyn is also survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Suzanne Scott (Alex) of Normal, IL; Marianne Bracke (Paul) of Spokane, WA.
GRANDCHILD: Vanessa Scott
SIBLINGS: Ronald Herrington (Sharon)
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Carole Klaman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 until the time of the services at 1:00. Memorials may be made to Quincy Humane Society. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I was sorry to see that Marilyn had passed. She was such a pleasant and sweet lady. We were co-workers at QMG,she was the medical transcriptionist for the provider I worked for. She was always so kind and helpful when I called her for something. Sending condolences to her family and may you always find peace and comfort in the memories she left behind.
