Marie C. Vogel
Marie C. Vogel age 82, of 2130 Harrison St. formerly of 2107 Cherry Lane Estates Quincy, died on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Good Samaritan Home. Marie was born August 8, 1926 in rural Adams County, IL. She was a daughter of Leonard and Lidwina (Willer) Rossmiller. She married Gerald A. Vogel on June 6, 1946 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2007.
Marie was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of St. Peter.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida.
Survivors include:
THREE CHILDREN: Carol Ridder and her husband John of Quincy; Connie Tenhouse and her husband Alan of Camp Point; Jim Vogel and his wife Andi of Fowler;
NINE GRANDCHILDREN: Lisa (Bill) Tull of Lake Ozark, MO; Mike (Nancy) Ridder of Quincy; Krista Ridder of Bloomington, IL; Amy Tenhouse and her fiance Marc Nguyen of Arlington, VA; Trisha Tenhouse of Peoria, IL; Ross (Amanda) Tenhouse of Liberty; Logan Cox, James & Victoria Vogel all of Fowler.
FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Adam & Austin Ridder, Libby & Allie Tull.
A BROTHER: Earl (Sue) Rossmiller of Liberty;
THREE SISTERS: Mildred (Don) Hillebrenner of Quincy; Dorothy Wilde of Springfield, IL and Rita (Russ) Terstriep of Hull, IL; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Paul and Virgil Rossmiller.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter with Msgr. Michael Kuse and Rev. Tom Donovan concelebrants. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Home or to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE.
