OBITUARY ON MARIAN LUGERING

Marian A. Lugering, age 92, of 919 South 17th, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 10:20 AM in the Sunset Home. She was born on November 2, 1915 in Grinnell, IA, the daughter of Theodore A. & Margaret M. (Shoemaker) Dittmer. She married Walter J. Lugering on March 17, 1979. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2000. Marian worked for the City of Quincy Treasurer Office for numerous years. She was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She is survived by:
TWO SONS: Dana Lugering and his wife Rose of Quincy and John Lugering also of Quincy;
ONE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Phyllis Lugering of Quincy
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Todd Lugering and his wife Robin of Quincy; Sarah Lugering Davis of Quincy; Christina Kraft and her husband Ron of Palmyra, MO: Durinda Lugering of Quincy; Crystal O’Brien of Quincy; & Elizabeth O’Brien also of Quincy.
FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Bryce Kraft, Matthew & Aiden Lugering, Alexis Finnigan and MacKenzie Tournear.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: 1 son: Mark Lugering, a daughter in law: Penny Lugering, one Brother: Lawrence Dittmer, and 2 sisters: Frances Ridder and Margaret Lugering.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at Blessed Sacrament Church from 9:30 until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus TV Mass or to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
