Marguerite M. Hanson

Marguerite M. Hanson age 95, of Good Samaritan Home Quincy, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 3:36 p.m. in the home. Marguerite was born September 14, 1915 in Quincy, a daughter of George and Carrie (Hasenfratz) Kroner.

Marguerite was a secretary at E Best Plumbing and Heating, she later worked for Clarence Sullivan , Plumbing and Heating Supplies. She also worked for Hafner, Dierkes and Flachs and she continued on with them when they became Architechnics.

She was a 1933 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Marguerite was an avid Bridge player, she enjoyed traveling and went on many bus trips with First Bankers Trust. She was active with R.S.V.P. and a member of the Ministries of Praise. She played golf for many years at Westview Golf Course and she enjoyed walking regularly.

Survivors include her sister, Lucille (Kroner) Schachtsiek of Quincy;
nieces and nephews, David, Richard and JoAnn Schachtsiek; David Kroner, Debra Sullivan, Stephen Kroner, Robert Kroner, Gretchen Smith, Judith Willer, Barbara Dance, Mary Ellen Piner, Nancy Kroner, Jerome R. Kroner, Mark Kroner, Daniel Kroner, Alan and Roger Kroner. A sister-in-law, Kitty Kroner of Falls Church, VA and many great nieces and great nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert and Arthur Kroner and a brother-in-law, Chuck Schachtsiek.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Quincy Notre Dame or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
