Margie Hickerson

Margie Hickerson, age 53, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1971 in Quincy the daughter of John & Carol (Fulmer) Mason. She married Danny Hickerson on September 11, 1993. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2011.

Margie served in the United States Army. She then later worked as a manager of several local gas stations and fast food restaurants. Margie enjoyed ‘ghost hunting’ with her best friend Susan, and watching Cub games and Sly Stallone movies with Tony Bowles. She loved hosting get togethers and cooking for her family and friends.

Margie is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Susanna Williams; Brianna Moore, Danielle Block (Spencer); Cynthia Hickerson and Joshua Hickerson.
GRANDCHILDREN: Dalton, Charles, Michael, Gabryella, Liberty, Cheyenne, Daniel, Harper and Luna.
Numerous other relatives including her brother Michael Mason (Candy), nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Margie was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Cheyenne Elizabeth Hickerson and a grandson Michael Leroy.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM in Calvary Cemetery. Military rites to be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion Post #37 and the National Guard Honor Detail. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I will always remember working with Margie at McDonald’s but both of us being Veterans drew us together. The whole family is a wonderful testament to getting through the tough stuff. Love you all! I have a picture of the whole family. If any of the kids want it please let me know.
