Margaret Mary Zapletal, age 97, of Quincy, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the Sunset Home.
She was born on January 3, 1921 in Summit, IL, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Steck) Nowakowski. She married Edward Charles Zapletal on May 17, 1941 in Argo, IL. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Zapletal was a secretary in the Quincy College Education Department and later worked for the OSHA in the Department of Labor.

She was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

She is survived by:
TWO SONS: Paul Zapletal and his wife Nancy of Crestview, FL and Dennis Zapletal and his wife Sue of Quincy.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives including a sister: Ruth Chandler and her husband Donald also survive.

Graveside services will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
