Marabeth “Bunny” Knowles

Marabeth “Bunny” Knowles, age 76, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in St. Vincent’s Home. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1945 in Quincy, the daughter of Virgil and A. Maxine (Liebig) Krueger.

Bunny was a teacher’s assistant for 20 years at Quincy Junior High School. She retired in 2006. She loved a good cup of coffee and a cigarette. And she especially loved her dog, Summer.

She is survived by her children; Tad M. (Debby) Knowles and Tracy J. Knowles all of Quincy; four grandchildren: John M. Knowles of Quincy, Jill (Nathan) Boden of Ewing, MO, Jessica A, Knowles of Quincy and James “Jamie” Knowles of Springfield, IL; and eight great grandchildren.

Bunny was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeff Krueger.

Interment will be in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    I have known Bunny xince I was a young child she was the friendliest person I ever met never ever seen her get mad such a sweet lady my thoughts and prayers go out to the family

    I worked with Bunny at QJHS for many years. She handled some challenging students and always appeared to love every minute of it. I was sorry to learn of her passing.
