Mabel R. Ballweg, age 82, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on April 3, 1935 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Homer Ulysses and Margaret (Shipman) Snow. Mabel married Daniel F. Ballweg. He survives.

Mabel was a self- employed seamstress. She dearly loved her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She loved doing all kinds of crafts.

Mabel is survived by her husband; a daughter, Lucretia (Terry) Scott of Quincy; grandchildren, Toriano (Niki) Griggs of Palos Park, IL; Roy (Katherine) Griggs of Glendale Heights, IL; Denver (Angie) Griggs of Buchanan, MI; a step granddaughter, Kim Scott of Decatur, IL; fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Barton and Charles Snow; and sisters, Betty Doane and Julie Killday.

There are no formal services planned at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
